BillX: Invoice & Bill Book App ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our mobile application.
Google User Data Policy
Our application uses Google Drive API Services to provide backup and restore functionality. In compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, we disclose the following regarding your Google User Data:
1. Data Accessed
Our application accesses a specific, hidden folder in your Google Drive known as the "Application Data Folder" using the scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. We strictly access only the files (Backups of Invoices/Products) created by this application within this specific folder. We do not have access to your personal files, photos, emails, or documents stored in your main Google Drive.
2. Data Usage
The Google user data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Backup: To securely save your invoice data, product lists, and app settings to the hidden app folder in your personal Google Drive.
- Restore: To retrieve your saved data when you reinstall the app or switch devices.
We do not use this data for advertising, analytics, market research, or AI model training.
3. Data Sharing
We do not transfer, sell, or share your Google Drive data with any third-party tools, AI models, advertising networks, or data brokers. The data remains strictly between the application and your Google Drive account.
4. Data Storage & Protection
Your data is stored directly on Google's servers within your personal account's Application Data folder. All data transmission between the app and Google servers occurs over a secure, encrypted connection (SSL/HTTPS). We do not store copies of your Google Drive data on our own external servers.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Retention: The backup files remain in your Google Drive hidden folder for as long as you choose to keep them.
- Deletion: You have full control over your data. Since the backup folder is hidden, you can delete the data by following these steps:
- Open Google Drive on a computer (drive.google.com).
- Go to Settings (Gear Icon) > Manage Apps.
- Find "BillX" (or the app name) in the list.
- Click Options > Delete hidden app data.
Other Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information (like name, address, phone number) unless you explicitly provide it (e.g., on your invoice header). Any data entered in the app remains stored locally on your device unless you choose to back it up via Google Drive.
Billing Information
We use Google Play Billing for in-app purchases (Premium features). All purchase transactions are handled directly by Google Play. We do not collect, access, or store your credit card or payment information.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to improve the app experience. These services have their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers to show relevant ads.
- Google Analytics for Firebase: Used to understand how the app is used (e.g., crash reports, usage statistics) to help us improve stability. This data is anonymous.
Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your information. Your backup data is encrypted during transmission to Google Drive. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
This app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
